Planning Your Shopping

One reason that I do save a lot of money when I shop is because I plan my shopping. This is true for groceries as well as other items. Planning your shopping is very crucial. This will help prevent you from purchasing items that you do not need, and finding the impulse purchases.

I start by looking at all of the sales papers to find items that I need, and which stores have the best offer on the majority of the items I will be purchasing. I do not go all over town to save money. If stores are close together I will go to each, but if not I choose the one that I will save more at. If you spend the money you would save on gas, what would be the point?

Make a complete list of all of the items that you will need to purchase. This list could consist of groceries, clothing, cleanings supplies, or any other items you need. Try to keep the list as close as possible to the things you will purchase. I know there will be times when you have a general idea of items, but not know exactly what you will be getting.

Make a budget for your shopping trip. This should be a very close approximation to what you will spend. When you make your budget, take only that amount with you. This will prevent you from purchasing more than budgeted.

Plan out your complete shopping trip. You want to know exactly what stores you will be going to, and what you will be purchasing from each store.

Planning your shopping can make a big difference in the amount of money you can save when shopping. It may seem like a little extra work to do in the beginning, but you will be very happy with the money you will save.

Widgets

I have added a few widgets to the blog. These widgets are helpful with saving money, and other financial help. I just have a few at the moment, but I am looking for more. If you know of any helpful money saving or financial widgets that would work, please let me know. Every bit of financial help that we all can find is very helpful.

Surprises in Life With Finances and Everything Else

We tend to plan on things happening in or lives. Most of these plans have something to do with finances. You may want to travel, retire early, have a nicer car, or a bigger home. Almost everything that we do in life has something to do with money and finances. So what do we do when we have surprises?

These surprises can be anything; bills, divorce, children, losing a job or a number of different things. Life does not always go how we plan. Even if things are going the way we want anything could pop up.

I have been going through this recently. I have separated from my husband, and life seems to be up in the air at the moment. The first few days were the worse. My husband paid for everything, I did not work because of some difficulties. I kept asking myself what I could do. I still do not have things completely planned out, but I am working on it every day.

So What Can We Do With Surprises?

The first thing that I told myself is that everything is going to be OK. It may take a while for everything to work out, but in time it will be OK.

Find solutions to your financial and life problems. There are usually some sort of solution to our problems. Life is never as easy as we want it to be, we may have to work hard on those solutions.

If you are unemployed you should find ways to make money. Even if it is a small amount some money coming in is better than no money at all. Do not dismiss any legal income option. I would avoid investing any money if you have no money coming in. Work a regular job, or find things you can do around your neighborhood to earn a little money.

Make a plan for getting through your financial and life problems. When you are going through hard times you usually feel like it is the end, but it does not have to be. Find things that you can do to plan out how you want to get through the hard times. Having something to focus on will help you push through the hard times, and focus on the future.

Life can be filled with surprises with your finances and every aspect of you life. How you deal with those problems will help you get through everything and discover how you can improve your life. Remember to never give up. Life is what we make of it, no matter how hard it is.

Example:

Last week I discovered my husband was seeing someone, I moved out of my apartment with only my moms help, I have no money put away because I am not working, then my sister was put on life support. I have no income and have to live at my sisters in a small room. I do not think I have ever had such a hard time in such a short period. I could give up, but I won't do that. I am sitting here writing this, and focusing on what I need to do next. I am making a plan for my finances. Since finances seem to be one of the biggest things I need to focus on other than my sister, I am trying to discover what I need to do next.

We all have hard times in our lives financially, physically, and emotionally. How we deal with those problems shows how strong we can be.

I will be away for a few days

I just wanted to apologize to the readers. I will be unable to do any updates for a few days. I have recently discovered that my husband is leaving, so I have to figure out my life. I am completely devastated about the separation and the fact that I am having to move out of my apartment. I just wanted to let you know that I have not gone anywhere, and I will be back updating on a regular basis within a week or two. Thank you for everything.

The plus side of the situation is that I will be focusing a lot more on my finances, so I will have things to share on a regular basis. Life is hard, but it will all be figured out.

Stressed about finances

I have been so stressed about my home finances the last few weeks. Our income tax check has helped, but I am trying to figure out how to pay the bills the next couple of months. I have been looking for a job, but have had not luck. My online income is doing better, but it will not cover everything that we need. It can be stressful at times.

My husband, Gabriel, has been working so hard to pay for everything. This stress is beginning to put a strain on our relationship. I am not used to being the person that needs someone to take care of me. I am used to paying my way for every thing. I have to pray that everything will be OK, and I feel it will be.

I will not let myself get depressed over our financial problems. There is too many things to be thankful for. The only thing I can do it continue to try and make our situation better. I am going to continue to look for employment, and keep working hard on my home income.

I am sharing this because I want to add a personal touch to this blog. I want you to understand that I have financial problems just like many other people in this country. I will not sugar coat my situation for this blog. This blog will show the good and bad about my financial situation. I want to help myself, as well as all of the lower income families that are out there trying to reach there financial goals by sharing helpful information.

If any of you are interested in earning a little money from home I have another blog that I share that my story on.

Make Saving Money A Second Income

We all look for ways to make an additional income, but why not use what we have. If you can find ways to save money in your home it is just like making money. The good part about this is you will not have to report it as an income. There are so many ways to save money on almost everything in your life. Think about things that you can reduce or even give up.

When you begin saving money, put that money away in a savings account. You can do this unless you have to use it to pay for a necessity, do not use it for play money in the beginning. Save the money until you have to have it, or for something special.

I have been doing this for a while, and it does help. We only have one full time income in our home, and my online income which is not very much at the moment. We had to find a way to make ends meet. We still have some problems paying some of our bills, but it could be a lot worse if I had not been finding ways to save when I could.

Think about it; If you can find a way to save $25 a week that would give you an additional $100 a month. That is actually 4% of a $30,000 yearly income, which is a very large amount that can add up quickly. There is an even bigger possibility of that income being a lot more if you can find even more ways to save money.

This is something to think about. Can saving money actually be the same as a second income? Yes it can if you determine ways for you to save the same amount as you would make at at the second job.

This article may be interesting for anyone trying to save money.
